The Light Ranger 2 is a powerful, first-of-a-kind focus assist system. It uses short pulses of infra-red light to measure 16 distances simultaneously across the frame. The companion Video Interface Unit uses those measurements to create a graphical overlay on top of the HD-SDI monitor feed. This allows high-precision manual as well as autofocus operation. Switching between AF and Manual modes is seamless. The sensor covers mid-long (LR2M) focal lengths.
